Loune-Djenia Askew Joins Executive Committee of Joe Perkins for Circuit Judge Campaign Committee!

We are excited and honored to welcome Loune-Djenia Askew to the Executive Committee of the Joe Perkins for Circuit Judge Campaign Committee, where she will Chair the Student Outreach Committee!

Loune-Djenia is a May 2020 Juris Doctor Candidate at Florida International University (“FIU Law”). At FIU Law, Loune-Djenia is actively involved in extracurricular activities while maintaining a position in the top 25% of her class. She is currently the Executive Marketing Editor of the FIU Law Review, a Student Ambassador, the President of the Caribbean Student Bar Association, one of the BLSA Reaching Out Directors of the H.T. Smith Black Law Students Association (“BLSA”) Chapter, and the treasurer of the Haitian American Law Student Association. Thus far, one of her most fulfilling roles has been serving as the 2018-2019 BLSA 1L Retention Chair, where she helped remedy the Black 1L retention rate at FIU. Upon graduation, she plans to continue to serve her community and be an example in the Black, Caribbean and Haitian community, as a beacon of excellence for the next generation.
