Raúl J. Chacón Jr. Joins Joe Perkins for Circuit Judge Campaign Committee!

We are excited to announce that Raúl J. Chacón Jr., a partner in the Miami office of Manion Gaynor & Manning LLP, has joined the Committee to Elect Joe Perkins for Circuit Judge!  Raúl has extensive experience in handling all types of maritime matters including crew claims, passenger claims, marine insurance coverage, salvage, collisions/allisions, limitation of liability, marine products liability, and cargo claims.  Raúl is the former Chair and a current member of the Florida Bar Admiralty and Board Certification Committee, and is an adjunct professor of Marine Insurance Law at the University of Miami School of Law. He has been published and has frequently presented on topics including handling maritime claims in the U.S., management of maintenance and cure, and risk shifting in maritime contracts. Raúl has served on the Board of Directors of the League of Prosecutors since 2005, serving as President (2010 – 2011), VP (2006-2009) and Treasurer (2014-present).  We are honored to have Raúl on the team!
